The low end Aerus canister is the Lux Classic. If I'm not mistaken they are close to $800, and the TOP canister is the Guardian Platinum and it can range anywhere from $1600 to $2000, just depending on the location you're in. There was a previous thread regarding the platinum and I was shocked to see the price range on them. Now with that said, buying one from eBay and places like that is rather risky as Aerus does not allow their new products to be sold by internet, so you won't be getting their warranty. Personally, I would hate to plunk down that kind of change and not have a good warranty to back it! Good luck with your purchase, I think you will be very pleased with their products!!

How is the filtration on the lower end Aerus machines? I did look at the Riccar canisters as well. | ||

I will agree with the post above... overpriced, be sure to negotiate if you want to buy one. Aerus operates like car salesman. Their sales model/method needs to change if they want to compete in the current consumer market. Riccar and Miele still outsells. | ||
