Hi,

Hi Mr G, Good finds, Did they reduce the Electrolux 350e as I seem to remember when you told me last time I saw you they wanted quite a bit for it.

Good find getting the Hitachi, Don't see many of these now.

Does it have the lower cord hook still attached to it?

Hi James
Nope the hitachi cord hook has snapped I'm afraid :(
As for the 350 no it wasn't reduced but they said I could have it for £5 :)
Now is it just me, or can anyone else see a similarity between these two?

Many similarities. The design was very popular during the 1980's, with Hitachi, Electrolux, and Hotpoint all looking like each other. Some of the Leifheit carpet sweepers were similar in style too, with an oversized and off-center dial.
