Even with a crt, from personal experience you'll be fine just wiring back up without the suppressor. Be sure to give all the rubbers a good clean whilst you have it in bits, will make it good as new again. Diy you say, doesn't it blow the dust everywhere? |

Thanks GSHEEN and BEKO. I take it 1 mains wire to one side of the motor and the other through the switch to the other side? |

I think so, although not 100%, been a while since I saw one but work out where the suppressor fits in the wiring and just join those up |
