Has anyone used one of these new Electrolux uprights with a self-cleaning brushroll? I'm curious to find out how this feature actually works. Is there some sort of blade used to cut the hair off? The reviews on Amazon don't give these vacuums very high marks, but it's an interesting idea nevertheless.

Actually the scrub device is featured on the latest Ergorapido models (also in the UK under AEG).

See 1.20/1.21 for that function.

Nimble w/brushclean feature...

This is the Nimble version with the brushclean feature. QVC did have the Precision model at one time but I don't see it on their site. The brushclean feature makes a terrible racket but, interesting none the less.

I have tried it on our demo ones at work, it's on all AEG uprights, Powerlite, precision, Ergorapido and ultrapower. It makes an awful racket as Ryan says, but amazingly it does actually work, I was rather impressed, it appears to be a genuinely good feature rather than gimmick.

I think it's a fantastic upright. You only have to hold the peddle down for ten seconds to clean the brush roller.
