Although the 502 &504 were sold here in SA It was the 506 and later 560 that allowed Electrolux to take the market from Hoover in South Africa. Hoover had nothing to compete with it the senior and concept one still been sold here at that stage. They had far better tool suction than the Hoovers of the day.
These were my favorite vacuum as a Child I begged my mother to get one but she preferred her Moulinex, Funny that, I would have given anything as a child to get this vacuum but now I have many and only want a Moulinex. Most of my moms friends had one, I have one on display in my shop and almost all the customers that come in recognize it as one there Mom/Gran/Aunt had or they owned one them selves. Nice vacuum |
