Whenever a DC07 is in the "upright" position it automatically transfers to hose. Place foot on groove on base and recline back handle. Vacuum should automatically convert over. Check yellow turn knob on base to turn on brush roll. Is brush roll engaging?
Also make sure that hose is completely locked into place. It will click when locked down into machine. I believe there is still a little suction that can be felt at top of hose end even while machine is reclined in operating mode for carpets. I have no idea what experience you have with a Dyson DC07. This is about as far as my experience with a DC07. I have used a few in attachment mode and upright. Never had a problem switching over. Let me know if any of this was helpful. Best of luck! |

Does the carriage mechanism on the (from looking at the front of the machine) on the left move when you recline and stand the vac up? That's what diverts the suction between wand and floor. |
