Hi I have two Kirby 511 sweepers one in good shape
One more of a parts sweeper
Does anyone know if any of the newer style brush
Rollers would fit my Kirby? I'm looking to get better cleaning
Out of this vacuum or a newer Kirby. Would I see a big
Difference in a d 80 model or should I get a heritage 2

That's easy: you can fit a 513-515 nozzle casting onto the motor unit since the safety switch design is the same on all models 505-515. You can then use your choice of the two ball-bearing-equipped brush rolls (part no. 1525 or 500505).

Yes, the roller mounts are different on the 505-512 and 513-515 nozzle castings.

The 513-515 nozzle casting also has a rug guard that protrudes throughout the nozzle, instead of just the middle as on the 505-512.

Yes, since its motor, being 5 amps, is physically stronger than the 511's.

It was also the first Kirby to have a proper 2-speed motor, the second speed being significantly higher than before.
