I've had a 1205 for several years that is the best one I've ever had, but it has developed an issue that has me stumped.
The bag door is popping open, and I have checked the Automatic Control assembly. All vacuum hoses are intact, correctly hooked up, securely in place, and not clogged.
The popping open takes place when I move the hose while vacuuming; it occurs when the hose drops downward, like when I finish vacuuming a table top and start vacuuming the table's legs.
It's almost as if the bag door latch is worn or out of adjustment. Or perhaps as if its return spring is stretched or something.
Does anyone know anything about diagnosing and repairing these Automatic Control units?
Thanks in advance.

That the latch is worn ,also the diaphram in the system could be either dirty or punctured, take the inside plate off of the door, remove the 2 screws that hold the diaphram covers on and remove the diaphram itself, clean it and the casing, a little dirt can foul these up..
