I was scanning Craigslist yesterday and found a Classic Omega. The price was $40 obo. When I got there I found that it included all the attachments. I just wanted the vac and didn't know it included anything else. It was like buying the whole shmear 40 years ago! The big box it came in, The attachment box, and owners manual were all there. The hose and attachments are all new, never used. The vac sounds good. No bearing noises. Original metal fan.

I didn't even offer anything lower than $40. It was fair, and I would have felt guilty.

I almost forgot to add that when I got there there was also another Kirby. From what I could tell it was a 518 or somewhere in there. It had a rebuild tag and an aftermarket bag. I asked but it was already sold. Oh well..

What a great find! For $40 they just gave it to you - now, that's a deal. Congratulations on one fine Kirby!

Looks like a deal.

I also see that you recieved the manual with it you may be able to use that to get a factory rebuild for the price stated in the manual. If you can remove the bag before sending it in otherwise it will come back with a generic replacement.

I've thought about getting a rebuild done, but for now it will be the everyday knock around, clean the car out sweeper. I just can't bring myself to start tearing up the Dual Sanitronic 80 I just had rebuilt. It's so nice I want to put it under glass!

I know exactly the point your driving, that's why I got these two behind glass also.
