My grandmothers (she's 97!) Electrolux Super J keeps poping the front door open, like the bag is full. The bag (genuine electrolux brand) is completely empty. Ive tried changing the dirt dial between fine and course and it seems to have no effect, the door still opens. I took the front cover off and cleaned out the three mini rubber hoses that go to the dirt dial canister. I also checked the bladder that pulls on the arm that releases the door and it does not have any holes in it. Testing it with the cover off I notice When I put my hand over the inlet hose just for a second this bladder starts to pull on the arm to release the door. Is this feature working correctly? Or is there some other issue causing the bladder to work 'too good' and pop the door open
THanks
Frank T

Here's what you need to do. Remove the screws and take off the front cover again. Take a bread twisty tie, and strip away the plastic, leaving just the wire. Remove the 'tube' that goes to the bag intake. Insert the wire into the tiny little hole, cleaning it out. Reinsert the tube, replace the cover, and the machine will work properly again.
