Today I stopped in one of the local vac shops, Sweeper Central, to pick up a package of genuine Hoover Type M bags for my Dimension canisters. Not only did I leave with the bags, but I also left with a genuine Hoover replacement hose for my rust colored Dimension and a beautiful gold and white Dial a Matic! Big thanks to the owner for his generosity today!
Pictures to follow! |

A nice one!The Dial A Matic in my opinion, set the stage for all modern uprights, because it was the first of its kind. |

I know the Persian Gold U5015 is seen fairly commonly and was part of the 1978 lineup, along with its power drive cousin the U6039-030 (right before the Concept 1), but when was the green U5017 produced? I thought with a higher model number it was a slightly newer model? Also, why did Hoover tack on the -030 model designation during the production run of the U6039? Any info would be much appreciated.
