Both the G.E. upright and tank vacuums pictured in the Vacuum of the Day ad are in my collection. The upright is by the entrance to my office at work; and the tank model is at home, off my kitchen. VCCC Member Mike Rogers of the Henry Co. outside Chicago sent me the upright, and the tank cleaner belonged to the 93-year-old mother of our general manager.

When the Hoover Windtunnel we clean our offices with was out of order several weeks ago, we cleaned once with the G.E. upright. That's why it's still in my office.

Thanks for sharing that with us, neat story. I love the look of the POD vacuums, I still miss the old '40s GE I let a friend mess up.
