I would have said so - most people associate the Multifunction machine as being Orange or Black unsurprisingly.

Purple

The interesting thing about the purple cleaner was that it served to be at least two models during the late 1990's, so whilst nowhere near as widely used as the famous orange colour scheme, purple was around for as while.

The bagless ones were sold at B&Q as well in purple as well as a darker navy blue with the silver "bagless" word down the sides. Vax also made a dark green one with "bagless" written down the side and a pets one with a paw print decal. B&Q were forever selling Vax "special" tubs before they went onto Karcher tubs.

Green bagless

The original green bagless Vax from around 1997 / 1998 was the Vax Wizard. Apart from the translucent dust container, it looked identical to the 3-in-1 models, only this was a dry vacuum cleaner. It did not stay on sale for long.

Thats interesting - the green one I was referring to was a solid green colour. When Vax went to Australia there were plenty of translucent/clear bodied tanks, going under the name of ""Sukka." Combo colours were very varied on the old Aussie site, with green & yellow, green & blue, blue etc.
We didn't get many of them here, or as you say, didn't stay around for long.
