I can certainly relate to what you're saying when it comes to using old vacuums or new ones. I have a Hoover bagless upright that I use on the rare occasion, but when I do, it's boring, mundane housework. On the other hand, when I pull out my Electrolux Super J or Olympia One, I am magically transported back to when I was a kid and so excited to get to help my mom run the sweeper. I think it's the nostalgia of using an older vacuum that makes them so special, for me that had a big hand in me even starting collecting in the first place!

I do this! As good as my Miele S5 works, I get more enjoyment using a turbopower, or the 119. My baby daughter likes the junior more too! |
