Yes, I have one

..........complete in its original box with all the tools and instructions.

Made in Birmingham around 1938,towards the end of companies business life, The earliest were made out of brown Bakelite.

These models were probably designed to compete with the Goblin 'Wizard' G30/31.

Bustler also made a cylinder cleaner rather like a CO-OP 'Dudley CWS' type of machine.

Enjoy!!

Regards, Walter, SHROPSHIRE.

P.S. I recommend that you visit: 'THE LAND OF LOST CONTENT' museum in CRAVEN ARMS sometime; as some interesting old cleaners are on display?

Bustler

Just to add a little to what Walter says above

I believe that the CWS (Co-Op) cleaner WAS the Buslter. This cleaner had a very distinctive design with a long "stepped" chrome end (will dig around for a photo) seems first to have appear in the 1920s as the Eltra. It later appeared as the Bustler and finally as the CWS - or more correctly branded Dudley, as that was where they were manufactured. This cylinder turns up remarkably often on ebay.

Hi-low, can you take a picture of the back of your Bustler please.

Thanks

Al

Hello,

Hi-low,

I live in near Telford.

Gary,

I must pluck up the courage and learn how to operate my digital camera...a case of 'technofear' I think?

Al,

Your information helps, as always. I remember seeing a yellow bodied/chromed ended bustler for sale in an antique/junk shop in Wolverhampton about 25 years ago. Priced £12-15; to much for me then even though it was mint.

What a shame the Nottingham, Long Eaton meeting fell through as it would have been so interesting to meet many of my fellow UK club members.

Regards, Walter.

The person with the cell phone in his hand. I happen to like hairy legs. Either a man or a woman. 'Woof' is a term used here in the states that means, 'I like that.'

I really don't think caligula would give a flying fig who it is, to be honest. Hot legs are hot legs, regardless of who they belong to :P
