I had seen this recently on Vax UK website a couple of months ago but it was continually sold out. It was one of those impulse buys, which I'm sure some members can relay! However, what attracted me to this tool kit was just the fact that it comes with a similar "up tool" that has also been featured on Hoover's TOL Globe model. Currently on sale at Amazon UK £39-99.

The tools are grey and orange as you can see from the photos I've supplied and some aren't as well made as others but the dusting brush is a good one and mirrors Miele recently introduced 2 pivot long dusting brush launched a year ago. You get the following:

"Up Top Tool" -

"Extension Tube" - Also acts like a long crevice tool with a telescopic height adjustable section at the top and where the first "up top tool" can be slid onto.

"Soft Dusting Brush" - Very similar to the Up Top Tool but of fixed position.

"Flat Upholstery Tool" - A mattress cleaning tool

"Connector" - a 31 to 35mm

"Storage Bag" - A black netted bag with hanger is already supplied. It can hold all the tools in the bag WITH or without the thick cardboard tray inserted that holds all these tools in. A pull string toggle with push lock has also been fitted.

Well, after I received mine, the tool kit fits SEBO, Miele, some older Hoover models (Slalom, no as the connection on the Explorer lance is too short, sadly) and of course 31mm to 35mm. The connector adaptor fits snugly into the SEBO X hose pretty well (No for the Felix due to its curved handle).

More photos soon to be added - just to PROVE what I'm saying.

This is in Argos for the same price and they offer it for half price when bought with a Vax cleaner.

I remember seeing it for a tenner or something on vax.co.uk, looks good for that cost, not sure how much use I;d get out of it for 40 notes though!

Have to say, they do look 'cheap', be interested to see how they perform!

Well, Id get more out of it at the same price that Miele charge for their full size air driven Turbo brush - I think I've used it twice since I bought it a few years ago and that cost me £45!

I agree with Sam they do look a bit on the cheap side, but I will be intrested in hearing your thoughts on the kit when you've had chance to use I've it. I've been tempted to get the extra Dyson tools myself but resisted so far!

Well, a few mixed results. I have already written a review for this product online. All of the tools fit my Miele handle from my S6, S5 cylinder vacs AND also fits the SEBO X series extension hose and on board hose, but only on the X series (well, unless you fit the X extension onto the Felix cuff etc)

Generally at best the tools are nice and light - so much easier to lift to get into cornices, lampshades etc and generally I really like the Up Top tool as it has 3 lock positions whilst the extension hose itself has 3 lock positions too - really handy and well designed. All other tools are ok other than the flat mattress tool which for some reason doesn't accept the tool adapter - luckily it fits the handle of my Bosch but it isn't as soft to use as SEBO's gentler mattress attachment.
