Most of the people on here who have owned Rainbows like the newest model. They all say a number of user friendly improvements have been made. I still like the blue one looks-wise but I have to say the new design is appealing.

Didn't know you could still buy a new gold or blue e2? I have an SE and the new black rainbow and I like my SE more than my black rainbow. All three are the same machine aside from the LED lights in the black one. If you want to be able to use the new aquamate, rainjet, mini jet or rainbowmate then I would go head and get the black one. If you get the gold or blue one those accessories will still work but you would have to upgrade to the power nozzle hose and wands for the black rainbow.

I didn't realize Rexair sold more than one model at a time. The new Onyx has several improvements. Some of these changes are a new power nozzle with side-mounted belt and a better air path, LED lights in the tub, changes to the handle switch to lock, and I believe a more powerful motor. The Onyx has a brushless motor I do think. Not sure if the older ones had that. A number of people here have bought it and can tell you more.

Rainvac is a wonderful company to deal with. They are about an hours drive from my house. I have been dealing with them for years and not one complaint from me , plus they are cheaper than any rainbow dealer would be or every will be. Every time I have ordered something it is usually here the next day if its in stock but have rarely every had to what on an order because it was out of stock. They truly care about the customer unlike a lot of rainbow dealers that you never see again after the sale. Can't go wrong with rainvac

Witches

I thought that most witches lived 'Over the Rainbow'... I didn't know they used them, too... ;-)

Sorry.... Couldn't resist :)
