I picked up this thing a few days ago. Cleaned it up, pulled the motor apart, repacked bearings, and replaced the fan. It sounds much better than it did before, but it's still rather loud. Any ideas?

I have had two of the soft bag Bissells, and both were super loud and had pretty wimpy cleaning power. I would imagine yours is working fine.

Nice! Very sharp. My neighbor used to have one waaaay back, and if I remember right it was noisy. So maybe it's just their thing? idk. Excellent job tidying it up though!

I dont remember the one i had when i was younger being quite this loud. same exact model too
well, until i shattered the fan in it, then you could hear it on the other side of the world
