Have you ever seen this vacuum with Euroclean label before? I wonder what kind of story this is.

"Designed by Electrolux of Sweden, Eureka Forbes-“Euroclean 200” is an all purpose cleaning system which is much more than a vacuum cleaner. Comes with a complete range of accessories for every possible need in home and industrial hygiene.
Sparingly used-10 years old-Rs.1500"

Sold in the UK under the Kenwood brand name I believe they were manufactured in Holland, but not by Philips

Euroclean was also a brandname used by Sweden's Electrolux in North America before they bought back the rights to the Electrolux name for use in this part of the world. I remember seeing lots if commercial Eureka vacs using the Euroclean name alongside the famous Swedish Electrolux "carpet nozzle e" logo. I even think that for a while, Eureka products were sold through a company called Euroclean Canada...including disposable dust bags.

I had no idea there was an Electrolux tie-up, mainly because this is so unlike any other Electrolux I have ever seen. I am sure I have a Which report on it at home. here is the Kenwood branded version we had here on the link below, its in the first reply to the thread

Eureka Forbes Euroclean

This modell was sold in the 60's in France and some others countries under Tornado 8000. This company had also subsidaries in Holland. Tornado was taken over by Electrolux later.
You can also see see under Eureka Forbes India some others models looking like the Electroluxes of the 70's. Ex. Euroclean Jet or Euroclean ACE etc

Hi, I think my mum had one of those before she bought the Electrolux 345.
As Alistair said it was under the Kenwood name here. I think it lasted just over a year and broke. Strangely enough we had the box long after the cleaner was gone as we kept the Christmas decorations in it up and till a few years ago.
