Just curious if anyone knows anything about the Soniclean vacuum. Is it a gimmick or does it work? Looks like a Halo/Oreck type vacuum.

Interestingly enough it has a "fragrance dispenser".

Very interesting idea... I wouldn't mind snatching one of those up.

It looks like the latest Oreck Magnesium. Not a bad machine if it is sealed and durable but still annoying it doesn't have any attachments. I probably wouldn't buy for that reason, but still it looks quite good. That fragrance dispenser is similar to Lux/Aerus Platinum's aromatherapy dispenser on the exhaust.

Any thoughts?? Seems like a great idea for hardwood to remove debris that may be stuck to the hard surface???? OR Gimmick?

On Bed Bath and Beyond and Costco are 5 star. Several other articles are great too but they are from bloggers and I don't trust them. Costco shoppers tend to be picky and it has 4.5 stars out of 5.

I Think......

that products that are made for one job and one job only, will typically preform better than something with more of an all in one style because of the fact that one cleaner needs to do every thing. There are always exceptions, but I think more times than not a dedicated floor machine will do better on floors than an upright with a hose and attachments.

I ordered it

I am taking a chance and ordered the machine. 199. we will see how it does. They offer a 60 day money back if I don't like it. I placed the order last night and they are saying it will ship in 4 weeks. WOW.

Be careful.

I bet they start the warranty period from time of purchase. I would use an American Express card for this kind of buy myself. They are likely to back you in any dispute.

I was thinking the same thing so I did indeed use American Express. Have held that card for 20 years and if ever a problem they came to the rescue. I am hopeful this will be the perfect fit for quick cleanups. My dog will start dropping hair in the next month or so. I love my central and Filter Queen - but for a quick run around the bedroom or family room this I hope will fit the bill!

Sonic effectiveness at dirt removal?

Perhaps you could do a test with the belt removed from the brushroll to see exactly how much debris is removed by the sonic apparatus itself?
