I have heard various things about the first generation Constellations, what I want to know is this, some have said the 82,84 and 85 were introduced at the same time 1955, I think this is incorrect, I think the 82 was considered a 1955 model, the 86 was a 56 or 57 and the pink,"Very much desired!" model 85 was made in 58, who is right,???

Early Connies

Here's the info you need from an actual Hoover Co. chart that Marty Kaplan posted several years back. There were 312,280 model 82 Connies built from 1954 to 1956. 291,654 model 84's were built in 1956 and 57. 229,329 model 84-B's were made in 1957 and 58, and 56,759 model 85's were made those same years. The 86 was introduced in 1958, and the 87 was introduced in 1959. Hope this clears things up for you.
