Looks like a great start!

I'm sure it'll clean up really well! I love the 370, I prefer it's styling to the 375. Paul Linell's non-standard high-polished aluminium example looks amazing, it really brings out the shape.

What kind of underside does yours have? Mine has the earlier removable underplate, but later examples just have the flip-down belt guard like the 375.

Hi Mark

Nice one, I`m sure it will be sparkling and back to a long life soon, these things where just indestructable...are they rare with you or do they crop up often??

Hey Jack, you been buffing again!!! lovely example there, how do you find it works on the thicker carpets??

Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike -

tbh, I don't use the 370 much (in fact, I don't really use Juniors full-stop!) - I don't think it's brilliant on thicker carpets - I suppose it was never intended for modern, thick, wall-to-wall carpeting, just lighter rugs. It's not bad, but not as good as the larger machines, which you can really feel pulling at the carpet.

Interestingly, despite being Hoover's 'budget' cleaner, at £10.15.0, it would cost £513 in today's money - so much more than most people would spend on a cleaner even now!

Older Hoover jr.

Guys I have to tell you. I am really in Love with that older Hoover Jr. I have watched you pictures over the past two years. It has the older main line cleaner looks from the 20/30's and has the bag on the from like the newer Hoover light
weighs with onboard attachment. I am surprised that it dosen't
have the power, As most machines with the horizontal moter and fan (kirby, others) always seem to have good air flo
compared to the vertical mount motors.
I remember seeing one of them in a movie years ago and was
troubled by it. As I had no Idea it was a Hoover!
I would love to have one, even if I could not use it.
Norm

I have a Hoover Jr mod115 and like it-better than an Oreck!Mayhe Hoovers new owners should look into this-but not a lame plastic imitation. With the diffrent models on compact lightweight uprights out there-the Hoover Jr sure could hold its own place.
