Tayyab, no offence, but there are 2770000000121548424185741100215485400 easilly accessible Dyson pictures out there of all different types of Dysons. Dysons are also common as MUCK in day to day life. Do we really need a thread of pics when we've all seen, used and in some cases thrown in a skip plenty of Dysons?

While I understand how you can feel Chris and do appreciate your response, there is really nothing wrong with a new Dyson picture thread, it adds fresh excitement and new fun to the forum. After 12 years of running forums I find threads like this are actually very healthy for the forum overall.

So while I think some might want to ignore this thread if it doesn't interest them, others and new members might really enjoy it. So carry on if you guys wish.

A very good place to start. This is the first production Dyson vacuum cleaner ever made. Serial number 46. 1984's "Cyclon 1000" invented and patented by James Dyson, made to his patents by Zannusi in Italy, sold by Kleeneze in Bath, England.

That Dyson is one my daughter would love with the pink and purple colors. I hope to see it in person soon at your museum in the near future.

The motor was making a funny noise and something broke on the bottom that diverts the suction from the hose to the floorhead when you recline it. It wasn't very good anyway when I got the AEG Nimle the amount of extra dirt out the carpet it picked up was shocking!!! Lol

I've never seen a DC05 clear before either - incredibly rare in this country - does it run on 240V?

well the dc05 clear has no existence in this country, they were sold in Japan and France I think

Post# 238319 , Reply# 35   6/30/2013 at 06:20 (3,946 days old) by madabouthoovers ()

Well, hold onto that, as it will be worth a lot of money in 20 - 30 years time, I am surprised it never fetched more on Ebay, as many collectors would have given an arm and leg for it, due to its rarity.
Also, the DC02 Clear and Recyclone are hard to find now in good condition, and especially with the original hoses and floorheads. Now that Dyson don't sell spares for them , they are obsolete and becoming more collectable each year.
The DC17 is also rare here as it is an American model - does that have to use a 120V adaptor to be able to work here?

yes i will intend on keeping my collection, but I probably wownt sell them due to regret, yes my american machines (dc17 & dc28) both use a 110v to 240v transformer

I'm sure you had a DC02 absolute micheal

Post# 238323 , Reply# 38   6/30/2013 at 06:39 (3,946 days old) by madabouthoovers ()

Your collection of rare limited edition Dysons may not be worth much at the moment, but as you are young, by the time you are in your 50's and if you still have these Dysons in excellent working condition - especially the DC07 Clic - they will be very highly sought after. Try to get all the other limited editions of early models as these will be the rarest and most desirable in decades to come.
Keep them in a dark room as Dyson plastics go brittle with exposure to sunlight.
