Hi, I inherited a Electrolux Discovery ii from my grandmother it works like its brand new... I was trying to research it but cant find anything about them, And was wondering if anyone could help How much was it new, How old is it, Their is no attachments with it Can I buy them, Are they a good vac, where would it have been purchased, and any other info on it would be helpful. Attachments and hose are avaiable for it. It was introduced in 1984. The introductory price was $249.00 with attachment set for $50.00. The cleaner sold fast and had to be put on preferential sale meaning you paid for it and got your cleaner first come first served. This lasted for almost 4-5 months until the factory could catch up. It weighed 14.5 pounds and was lighter by 9.5 pounds from the earlier upright. It has two motors . One runs the brushroll with automatic shutoff if something gets stuck in the brushroll. Suction motor has temerature shut off if hose at the bottom ihose get clogged to protect motor. First click of switch runs suction motor, second click of switch runs both brushroll and suction motor.
They are a good vacum.
