Hello. I fitted a 1/2" piece of vinyl tubing to my bissell wet/dry vac's hose, and while it still has good suction through the tubing, the noise from the motor is quite distressing. I know that this noise is a function of higher speed due to reduced airflow.
The machine is from the mid to late 80s and the motor has some wear and tear, but still runs great although it gets really hot after a bit of use.
My question is whether or not the motor will burn itself out if I continue to use the small tubing on the machine. The noise it was making is what prompted me to ask.
Thanks in advance.
