O___o

I understand people not knowing the different kinds a vacuum cleaners by their look, but what I don't understand is why they didn't just read the front of the machine where it says Hoover Windtunnel T series......All the person would have to do it "READ" that's it!

That's the problem

People don't read. For example, I use public transit a lot. Each bus is clearly marked what it's destination is. People are forever boarding and getting upset because they didn't read or bother to ask the driver where we are going. Then when they figure out they are on the wrong bus, they cuss out the driver. It's always someone else's fault. I feel bad for the drivers because they try to be helpful, but get verbally abused almost daily.

Public Transit

I love the irony here, very clever.

People these days...

super-sweeper's profile picture

The worst part is that it's a stock photo, :/

But yes, People these days are just plain-out tragic, I don't know where we're heading when people can't do the simplest of things, then blame it on some other innocent bystander.

Let me tell you a story about me and this unbeliveable Gerneral-Electric...

So a while back, maybe Febuary, I purchased a G.E upright (One of those wal-mart models from a decade or so ago) from my local kirby store for $25, as I've always wanted one of these vacuums. I tried it out in the store, and it worked fine, lovely at that. I excitedly purchased it and left. I tried it out in my living room the moment I got home. It was doing fine for a bit, then it would randomly cut-off, and I had to shake the handle to get it to work. It began cutting on and off, so I took of the filter and was greated by a blaze of sparks. Motor was shot, completely shot. Thankfully, seeing as these cleaners where manufactured by Eureka for Wal-Mart, I had a spare Eureka "World-Vac" upright motor that was the exact same motor, While the motor was not in the best of shape (A little rusty on the fan chamber), it still appeared to run fine, dispite some noise. I complete the transplant, and I'm so glad to have a working G.E again! I tour it trough the entire house, and nearing the end of the run, It dies out AGAIN. ]

It slowed to a crawl, and the lights dimmed slightly, I knew it had happened again.

I don't have spare motors to keep plopping in, sadly. It's likely going to reside in a box or "The place" until I can find a motor that hopefully will NOT explode every time I use it, unless the plastic shell of a vacuum  it is is cursed or something!

I'm still on the look-out for one of those 1970s G.E uprights, Maybe one day...

-Alex.

G.E Motor.

What kind of motor can the G.E take? I have a Eureka Whirlwind bagless I can part out. The motor works fine as far as I can tell...

Took the same motor, The one you have will likely fit fine, although pictures are always wonderful. what is wrong with the whirl-wind, anyhow?

That one screams Bissell, even with a blurry picture. Read, Read, Read.

I think that one might be the Clean View, if I'm not mistaken. They're not bad little machines for their price point. There are worse.
