 Good morning, Fellow VL members!

As you may recall, I've recently purchased a 1979 Kirby Tradition, and have been in the process of restoring it.

So far, So good. I've been attempting to polish it out to a glorious "like-new" shine, with first the Handi-Butler, and then a drill-powered buffing wheel.

While it is (Slowly) coming along, the 30 Years of tarnish embedded on this machine does not seem to come off easily, although the chrome underneath will still attempt a shine.

any tips as to how the tarnish can be easily removed?

I'll be upgrading the bagging system as well, with this cleaner being from December 1979, it still has the poorly designed bagging system, which heavily limits the airflow and cleaning efficiency.

Untill then, Here's a before picture:

-Alex.
