Hello, I have a singer twin fan upright model uhd3a that the motor now works beautfully but I'm afraid to bypass the reset switch that does keep poping. what could cause that(like could it need new motor brushes still)?

Bearings greased maybe? Or could just be a defective reset switch/breaker...Try another reset first. Thats probably easier.

Popping protection devices means there is a problem

I've rarely seen protection devices fail. The motor is probably drawing too much current due to some sort of drag on the motor.

I have replaced a few reset switches and/or protection devices, especially on the Kenmore power nozzles, and Lux switches inside the body.
