Here my Classic III with a Legend II bag. I think it looks pretty good.

As it came back from Cleveland and a total rebuild with the Legend II bag. A perfect setup. Bought this one new.

That's an ideal conversion, and exactly what I did to my Classic 1-CR!

Here's my Classic III; it was left behind by previous homeowner.  It has the original bag but no tools.

I think the Classic III is the best Kirby ever made; it even outcleaned my G3 (which I no longer own now) & a Sentria that I once borrowed.

This photo was taken when I first moved into that house, around 2002.

Beautiful Classic III Fred! Mine had the Eureka F and G conversion and I didn't like it. If the handle was all the up there was almost no suction with attachments. The Legend II bag looks very nice on the Classic III's.

I wish my cord hooks were on the right side of the handle.

The mini emptor set up does work very well with early models. I have used them on the classic kirby and dual sanitronics and a 519 model

It seems that the Classic III with the Legend II bag is a popular converted configuration, and I find it pretty. Would it be great if all the participants of the Vacuumland forum who own a Kirby Classic III and the Legend II bag could reunite and go to a bar or a restaurant together?

Kirby bag

I had the Classic 3 and I had it converted to the F and G and it did not work right after that.
I now have a rebuilt Legend 2 and I love it. You can't beat a Kirby on carpets.

I recently bought a Filter Queen Majestic, had a new hose made for it,10 feet, bought some new tools and it works like new. Only paid $5 for the machine!I feel I now have a duo that will last longer then me.Not only do they work great, but they are so classy.
