I know this should go in the ebay appropriate forum but this Royal is a weird one. Is it old and retrofitted? Is it a weird straight suction commercial model? What is it, or what was it?

Straight suction Royal

I know that Royal continued to manufacture straight suction uprights long after other manufactures had stopped making them. We had two in the free pile last year at the Portland convention.

Not a Bojack...

Royal made this into the 70s!, Great for glued down commercial carpet.

There was another one on eBay months ago, which bore the serial #B79-D-14167, for which its date code translates to February 1979.

The one you just saw is dated February 1974.
