I need recommendations.

Hoover bagged Windtunnel Max. They're about $179. Budget priced, attached hose, on/off switch for brush roll. Excellent cleaners, good durability.

I definitely recommend bagged. Panasonic/ Kenmores are getting cheaper motor wise. Have to be careful of those.

Riccars and Simplicitys are great cleaners and very durable. The Riccar Vibrance is a great cleaner that can be bought for around $300 depending on the model.

I would also check your local vacuum dealer and see what refurbs they have. Might find something in reburbed great condition at a great price. I got a Riccar 1700 canister in great shape for $200. Brand new I believe they're over $900.

Not a Sebo fan myself. Not enough agitation for me. Also the automatic adjustment ones don't go low enough for good carpet contact.

It's a shame she doesn't like canister. Power nozzle canisters are my favorite. Love the easy maneuverability, lightweight wand, excellent cleaning power and versatility for every cleaning task around the house or for automobile.

Checkrate/Likes We should all know modern vacuums are not my area of expertise unless we're talking Kirby's, lol. But my grandmas Panasonic took a dump and isn't working anymore. She wants a new vacuum. These are her specifications: No canisters like Electrolux, Rainbow, etc., and can't be overly expensive, lik a Kirby. I recommended a Riccar or Sebo but she didn't want either one of those. What do you guys think? Please post the price of the vacuum as well!

Checkrate/Likes I'd recommend a bagged Kenmore Intuition upright. They're easy to use and great deep cleaners. You can usually find them on sale for around $199. Hope that helps. Chase

Checkrate/Likes 1 *I agree with a bagged HOOVER* The Wind tunnel or even the bagged Tempo is good (for the money).

Checkrate/Likes 1 *no on the smart vac* I would stay away from the Eureka Smart Vac they have a lot of issues with the belt and brushroll. The belt design is very poor it wears very easily and also wears at the roller brush. A lot of my customers have had to replace both belt and roller brush and average of once a year to keep it running. Even a few were changing the belt once a month and still didn't much more than a year out of the brushroll. Not a machine I would recommend.
