It came with a nicely made bag to make it shoulder portable, with leather shoulder belt, and there's also a slot for a handle to make it a stick broom!

What an interesting item you have there Tommy, thanks for posting.

It never ceases to amaze me the variety of cleaners Electrolux marketed throughout their territories. We certainly did not have that model here, but then stick vacs were never that popular here anyway.

Assuming that the carpet nozzle is original to the cleaner, we only ever saw that one in the Lux 64.

Electrolux !

Amazing! While I have seen somewhat similar vacs that bag is a first. Can you imagine different colors and styles as with cell phone cases??--The Turboclean shown as 1992 was at Elux offices here in mid 80s. It included sanding & massage pads, spray can of upholstery shampoo, etc. Not very popular with most salesmen.

Tommy....that is such a neat little vacuum! Great find. I bet that would have sold like hotcakes here in Canada back in the 50's & 60's if it had been offered here & would have been good competition for the Hoover Portapower & Swingette portable canisters.

Wait till Doug Smith sees this, I bet even with his Electrolux knowledge he will be surprised :-)

Doug

Hello Guys,
sure, the cord came with it and everything looks pretty original. I still have to find the courage to turn it on and I don't know if I will!Maybe I can keep on living without!
When I saw it on ebay I waited a few minutes before bidding because it is not exactly the kind of vacuum I like to collect, then I just thought it was something I had never seen and that ind that would have been nice to have it! I like very much its cover but the hose is in very poor conditions, very dry and it loosed its flexibility.
Greetings, Tommy

Electrolux Z53

Hi Tommy!
Itīs a very nice vacuum=)
I found this test from 1960 and here is the same vacuum but without the hose and carrying case. They said that itīs very quiet but not very powerful so maybe you can test it=)

Enjoy=)

Best Regards
Markus

Hello Markus, Thank You for posting it! At the end, just a hour ago, my partner decided tu turn it on for me and i found with much pleasure that it works wonderfully, it has a quiet, smooth sound and nice suction for a little 280 watts motor. Obviously the hose is in bad conditions and it leaks much! However i cleaned everything well and the hose and case with some carpet shampoo and everything look nicer now! Ready for my collection ! Greetings, Tommy
