Hi,

I noticed this pic in an article today. It's Madonna at her Upper East Side home with the caption 'Tidying up before the Met Ball' I'm sure it's a Miele but I wondered if anyone knew which model it was?

I wondered if anyone knew of any other makes of vacuum other celebrities use?

That's one of the smaller S4 series. Not sure on the model number as the US and European model numbers are different.

Speaking of other celebrities vacuums, lest we forget Amy Winehouse's Hoover Dustmananger?

Pretty sure if it was purchased in NY it would be the Sirius. Very popular machine for us when it was in prod.

Speaking of James Dyson and the vacuum he might use... has anyone else wondered about some other vacuum company owners/CEO's, and what vacuums they might use in their own home? For instance- David Oreck. Does he use an Oreck or something else?
I hope I'm not the only one but I have pondered this thought from time to time.

Lol I bet James Dyson loves his Henry!

@daknx1994 I sometimes wonder about that too. I mean, do you think that people who make cheap Bissel or Morphy Richards vacuums actually use them in their homes?

I don't have any evidence to back this up, you could call it a gut feeling if you wanted to, gentlemen, however, I suspect that the CEO's like Oreck and Dyson probably have nothing to do with their housekeeping arrangements. If it's any help, I do know that the cleaning personnel at Dyson HQ are supplied with Dyson cleaners to use within the building.

@vintagerepairer I can agree that probably a lot of CEO'S have a housekeeper or what not and they probably use what they feel like. It would be interesting though just to see what is in their cleaning arsenal.
It would be a little funny to see the CEO of Bissell or Morphy Richards use their most bottom of the line in their home.

Madge appears to have a black Miele S4212. Good choice - its one of my favourite Miele lines. The blue one is still selling in Currys for £145. Would rather have that than the cheaply built S2.

I have the blue one

Madonna

Regarding the original posting about Madonna and her Miele, it appears that she did some unexpected marketing for Miele. I guess they had quite an increase in sales in the S4 series after she released that photo. I couldn't find any other sources to verify the story, but it's interesting none the less.

Interesting you mention that!

I would bet the buildings and offices probably do have different vacuums than the ones they build. I know of a Honda dealer here who uses Ford Rangers to make parts runs. You are a HONDA dealer and you have FORD TRUCKS doing the work? lmao!

Good link Cameron, thanks. Pity that Miele have more or less stopped selling the vacuum with only Currys in the UK supplying the last of the S4212 blue cylinder vacuums.
