I have a one speed Rainbow E Series and I think there is something wrong with the separator. For some reason it is really wiggly when you attach it to the metal shaft. Is this a common problem? Is it the separator or the vacuum itself? Attached is a photo of how it is off centered.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Chase

I removed the motor and took off the plastic cover and found the cooling fan jammed in the top. Are these replaceable parts? Is this cover also supposed to be bent and mangled like this?

That is one...

Cooked motor. The cooling fan is pressed onto the armature, it wasn't meant to be removed. Appears that the cooling air cap is melted. You will need to order the motor assembly, plus a new separator, and a new separator nut. The wholesale cost of these items is not prohibitive - do you have any friends with vac shops who will sell you parts at wholesale?

Thank you! I do but I'm not sure he'll sell me anything at cost. I've never asked and he's never offered. What would that run me at wholesale?

Chase,

I would be able to get these parts for you at cost. Message me on here and I can get you prices on them.
