I found a 1973 Power Drive DAM Hoover on e-bay. Everything is there and runs fine and I will probably have questions for some of you on restoring her. I have no knowledge of the power drive systems for vacuum cleaners...this one's works but it seems a little sluggish/irregular. I don't know if there are belts or chains and gears in the drive system. I know that I'm going to need to clean out the fans. I know that DAM's don't have much suction in the first place put this one seems even a little low. A great, fun, classic Hoover...as memorable as every Hoover was....a Hoover when Hoover really meant something.
