I'm still looking for a hose for my Airway Sanitizor Model 55. Would also like to have wands and attachments for it as well. |

Is your Air-Way a purple Pre-War model, or a hammertone blue Post-War model? At the Vacuum Collector's Convention, which we're holding at the Vacuum Museum in June, we're going through two store rooms of parts and machines that are 'duplicates' (even triplicates). I'm absolutely certain there's at least one if not two sets of model 55 Post-War attachments and hoses in there. If no one grabs them first, I'll set them aside for YOU.

Not trying to hijack this thread here, but I just read your reply and you mentioned the purple Airway 55 was a pre-war model, also that there may be some extra hoses in a store room that could possibly fit a post-war model. You wouldn't happen to have any hoses to fit one of these pre-war models would you? I have that model and while I don't know much about it, it runs great, but I have no hose for it. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure I have a spare hose for the Pre-War model 55 Air-Way Sanitizor. One of the advantages of having a Vacuum Convention at the Museum is, I have lots of help going through the boxes of spare and duplicate parts and hoses. It's an overwhelming job to do by myself.
The Vacuum Collector's Convention this year is June 20, 21, and 22. It's here at the Vacuum Cleaner Museum in St. James, Missouri. We're starting with a tour of the factory, going to watch a vacuum being built from injection molding to final assembly and warehousing. The next day will be entirely in the Museum, going through the duplicate vacuums and parts. On Saturday, we visit vac shops owned by fellow collectors as well as viewing their private collections. Once everyone has had a chance to pull out all the boxes containing the hoses and parts, I'll be sure to keep a lookout for that Model 55 hose for you. This pic I've attached is of the original hose. I know I have a spare, somewhere. We'll find it. |

That sounds like it would be a GREAT time! I wish I was going to be in Missouri during that time period, I would love to attend! About two years ago I took a weekend trip with a friend of mine to Bartlesville, OK and we passed very close to the Museum and I wanted to stop then, but we were on a whirlwind trip and didn't have a chance. I said then, someday I would visit! Anyway, I digress! I really appreciate you keeping an eye out for me for the hose! Thanks again!

It's the hammertone blue model. I would love to come to one of the conventions and the museum sometime, maybe next year. |

Here are the attachments that I got from Tania Voigt! The second is a spot from when I used the vacuum. I think it will need a good cleaning. Going to shop in IL. that I like to use, and see they will look at it.

I put Lamb 9A motors in these. Okay, not original, but more race car style... |
