I had one when I was in high school and gave it away long before I knew I had something truely special. I regret giving it away... but regret far more WHO I gave it to. Big, big mistake.

I have a model 189 that is somewhat similar, except that the fan case, nozzle, and light hood are all separate parts. However, it does have the larger but more streamlined motor housing like your 259.

Ive got one that looks similar to this one. Those older royals are definitely my favorite of any royal vacuum.
