We get donations of vacuums almost daily here at the Vacuum Cleaner Museum. Today, a woman brought me a Hoover Tank Cleaner, model 42, that used to belong to her mother. She kept the original package of the disposable bags as well as all the tools and the box the machine came in. She also gave me her Hoover Celebrity II Estate - and bought a brand new Simplicity Symmetry to replace it.

Really nice machine. Do you all have a web site that anyone can see all the machines you have there
Thanks

I think that's one of the prettiest Hoover tanks -- love the colors and styling of that model.

They are a beautiful machine but I've never figured out why Hoover put a brown hose and tools with it? All the Canadian tank type hoovers had matching hoses and parts (blue, red etc)

Nice 42, Tom!

And getting the whole attachment set and pack of bags is a real plus! I have one too, but not nearly as nice and only have the hose, wands, rug nozzle, and dust brush with mine.
And Doug, I've often wondered about that myself. The model 29 and 62 uprights also had a brown tool set, and I think matching burgundy tools would have looked great with the 29.
