Hi all! I am getting ready to wet sand the motor housing for a Kirby Model C and cannot figure out how to remove the armature. Usually, I am able to just pull them out without much fuss, but this one seems to be stuck as if a special tool is required for removal. It does spin freely, though. I cannot remove the field without removing the armature so I'm not sure how to proceed. The picture below shows where I had to stop. Any suggestions?

Hi, You might have to pull harder, or spray some penetrator oil in the lower bearing area. You might want to wait for oil to work.

Thanks Duane! I'll need to try that. It could be that after all these years, gunk has built up around it, preventing removal.
