Believe me, I know that sounds harsh, but to me, Mr Brit, he's a bit of a tit, an Electrolux Upright of that particular Phylum is indeed a rarity.

Hence my metaphorical "little jig" about one appearing on ebay.

I remember seeing them for sale but I've never known anyone to have one. There were also models with the L shaped base and like their canisters were expensive when new. Maybe it's just that people who think Electrolux think canister not upright.

I have one of these and its pretty neat to play with, even though its performance is not the best. Its built like a tank which is also what it feels like when you try and push it! But it IS rather rare to see one of these on ebay, and this is the first time I have seen one on. A rare item indeed it is.

It reminds me a lot of the European Electrolux 500 series of uprights from the early 70s thru to the early 80s (I don't class the Twin Turbo range as part of the 500 series :P) but it seems to be a LOT heavier, in good old American engineering tradition ;]
