Hoover Windtunnel Preferred S3641

The vacuum above is the Hoover Windtunnel Preferred S3641. Same features to its similar model the blue Hoover Windtunnel Plus S3639. It had the Windtunnel air turbine powered hand tool stored on tool lid. This model would be sold at Lowe's around 2005. Nice Finds!

The Hoover Preferred Line was a Lowe's Hardware store excluxive line. It was primarilly a series of Hoover Windtunnels. All of the models had that sparkling gray, glitter style color. They had Preferred in Windtunnel Supremes, Windtunnel Self Propelled uprights, Savvy series and of course this Windtunnel canister. The S3641 was the only canister vacuum in the Lowe's exclusive Preferred line. I'm trying to remember back, but I don't think there was Steam Vac under this line, I believe it was just uprights and canisters. I'm fairly certain this line carried a 2 year warranty as well.

If you continue your eBay search, you will see that the owner has divided this machine up, the gas pump hose with on/off agitator switch, suction unit, wands and power head are all separate auctions. I have attached the power nozzle auction, so you can see what it looks like.

Also below is my Hoover Windtunnel Plus S3639 canister, the similar model to the Preferred above.

Rob.

I have have alwasy liked the Blue Windtunnel canister. When I worked at Target I almost bought one. I changed my mind and just kept my Rainbow. I do remember using one and it worked really nicely.

It's a great vac, I love it. I bought to replace a Kenmore Progressive canister that I sold on Craigslist. Performance wasn't what I expected so I got a trusty Hoover. It's at my parents house now though. I take it for a test spin when I see them.
