Nice Hoover Encore.. I think that was the last of the last of the Convertibles.  I have one of those in storage.  :-)

Hoover Encore

I really like it, it was well worth the $2 I paid for it.

Help i need some advice badly on an 825

markanthony5's profile picture
Hello there,
I am new to this site thought i would have a look round.
I have a Hoover 825,the problem with mine is i am convinced that it needs new bearings top and bottom they sound rough.
A friend suggested i oil it,correct me if i am wrong but they are not supposed to be greased.
I am thinking my bearings are worn out and my 825 has had a hard hard life,as its covered in knocks and scratches and dents and dings.I am at the moment sanding as much of them out as possible before polishing.
I went to my local Hoover repair shop and another their too scared to touch it, and don't know what bearings i should have and what size.Would you know the answer to this.
I also need to make a new rubber surround for the headlight area, but not sure how too.
I live in the united kingdom by the ways
