Is it true that in the period of the Kirby Classic III 2CB (1976-1979), that all of the 500 series red trim parts (for models 513 to 561 and interchangeable with all Kirby models going back to the 505) had been discontinued so as to avoid confusion and redundancy with the identical red trim parts that were then being made for the 2CB?

That would mean, of course, that virtually all of the 500 series trim parts would, then, have been sirocco (tan) in color... including the attachments.
