As with any collectable value is based on many things, condition, originality, accessories, desirability and demand. Your vacuum looks to be in good, but not perfect condition. For maximum price it would need to be in perfect condition. The hose is not original, it looks like a replacement hose from the '80s or '90s. Again, for maximum price it would need the original hose. Next, does it have all of the original attachments and the original attachment kit? It would need those to have higher value. Vacuum cleaners have a VERY limited appeal, there are simply not that many people who collect them. That said, some of us will spend a pretty penny if we see something that reminds us of our childhood or we just want it. List it on eBay for best chances at making a good price. Don't expect to make a lot of money, but don't turn down serious offers either. Many people think that grandma's old Kirby is worth a fortune and list it for sale expecting to get $500 when they would be lucky to get $30. Those are the people who keep relisting it month after month for a year or more and never figure out why it's not selling. So, if you are looking to sell it, don't ask too much for it and you should be able to sell it fairly quickly. I hope I have not offended you or ticked off anyone here on the forum...and if I have, I am sorry. Justin |
