Does anyone here know anything about parts diagrams for the optional 13" nozzle for the Kirby Heritage/Legend series (1981-1990)?

Why do I ask? It is not made mention of in the Heritage II Nozzle Group exploded view (only the standard 16" nozzle is).

Thank you,

Benjamin "Ben" Edge

The Small Powerhead

Kirby didn't publish anything separate for the optional smaller powerhead. The Belt Lifter assembly all still went together the same and for the most part so did all of the other components. Not enough of the smaller size powerheads were sold to make it cost effective to publish separte information for it.

There is, of course, that extra nodule on the back side as to accommodate the Heritage/Legend series safety switch (the older versions of this nozzle casting for models 513 to D80 will not work on the Heritage/Legend series w/o modification.

I'd love to know what the part number is on the casting for the Heritage/Legend 13" nozzle... if ever there is one. I'd like to think it reads 140982.

Brad (IL-Kirby-Fan),

While Kirby may not have moved enough Heritage/Legend orders with the 13" head to justify a separate parts breakdown for it, they did, however, publish separate information for Heritage II models with the older Sani Em-Tor. It's the one marked "POCKET BAG WITH LARGE EMTOR."

My favorite Legend II nozzle

Here's my favorite Legend II nozzle. Its more compact and more streamlined nozzle makes it easier to use, and concentrates the suction a little bit more than the larger ones.

kirbyduh: Thank you for giving me the part # on its casting. I wonder how the same part # you found would still apply to the version of the nozzle, with the nodule that's there for the 134381 safety switch? I'd still like to wonder what the complete 13" Heritage nozzle part # is (entire nozzle plus brush roll)?

electrolux137: Welcome back, Charles!

I'd reason to think the old-style single-row brush roll #1551 was still being used for the 13" Heritage nozzle, right?

Model numbers.

There is a sticker with a number behind the bumper, would that be the number for the entire assembly? Both my small nozzles came with a multi row Brushroll.

Lane,

I'm wondering if that double-row brush roll you're holding in that picture, is part #148281 or #155181?

BTW, what is that number on that sticker you've found (so I can tell everyone else about it)?
