It's a U6007 and right after I took this photo I proceeded to completely dismantle it, I have plans for this one! More photos to come after I get back from Phoenix.

Hoover U6007

Hi... May I ask what you paid for the U6007? Was it in good shape? did everything work? I have one that is in great condition and wanted to get some sort of a value on it. thanks for responding

I've got a one of those DAMs in my garage that im not sure is worth restoring, and I have never done anything as bad as what i would have to do for that. Its covered in rust on and in the bottom, but the plastic is fine, it sat in a watery basement for fifteen years.

Wuderin

I paid $85 for it plus $35 for shipping on Ebay and it had the usual wear and tear, so I decided to use the hardware from it for my (almost) all white DAM project as seen in my other post: Hoover DAM project II. Thanks for asking and I apologize for not responding sooner.

That's a great vacuum, indeed.

I have one, maybe 2. I also have the turquoise one (3 actually). I think it's model 1140. The original cleaner, one has a creme handle grip, and one has the chocolate one. The plain, (white one) new base you have is on the orange and the blue one as well. i believe I have one of each somewhere around here. Best of luck . Now, you need a nice set of tools.
