Hi all. Just wanted to ask if someone can tell me more about this model. All i know is that it was made in early 30' and that it is in a really good shape since i take care of things like this. It was my grandpas heritage. Please if someone knows more about this, contact me.

I know. This was an old pre war German factory and i couldn't find much data about it, but i have always liked the way it looks so i took good care about it and never wanted to use it. I guess my grandpa had the same thoughts :). Well hopefully someone here will know more about it and help me out :).

Thanks Gary

Olga

Like Gary, I have never run across a vacuum like that until yours, so as far as knowing anything about it, I have nothing to contribute, however that is a VERY impressive vacuum, and you have indeed taken excellent care of it! Most vacuums 70+ years old, even if stored properly and taken good care of, don't have the shine your machine has. Is the hose original to it as well?

You have a beautiful vintage vacuum and I really hope you find out some information on it, as I'm rather curious about it now myself!

Yea, i only found name of the factory which was producing this "Baby vacuums" and the name of that factory is "Borsig" and it i/was a German factory.

Yap, everything is original to it and therefore it looks nice as it is! :).

Thanks and will let you know if i find out something more about it.

Your Saugling Model 4 looks BEAUTIFUL!! I am sure you are proud to own such a nice vacuum, & your grandpa is probably smiling down from heaven & pleased to know you have taken care of the vacuum he cherished so much. I only wish I could help you with some information, but I am not very knowledgeable about European brands.

Never heard of any vacuums from Serbia (or the entire Balkan area), let alone this! That's pretty cool, thank you for sharing! It has to be the most interesting thing I've seen all week.
