sounds like you need to attend one of the vacuum conventions, sudsy. i saw more than one of the 913 style available for sale there while in St Louis.

I hope i can get to.

Its been almost 10 years since I have been able to take more than a 2 day break and get away from here. I have thought about just get in the car and drive away ... I was at a laundry and Drycleaning convention in San Antonio a few years ago and just loved it would love to go back for a few days.. I hope to find a 913 before the next convention . Do you remember any one that had them for sale??

my grandmother and grandfather owned a small motel down near Longview for a number of years and I would help them with the rooms they had 2 913 s I loved them also the maids could not tear them up and they tried real hard too..

I loved that story! Do you think a new Hoover would take the beating that a 913 did?

I indeed obtained my 918 from the last convention. It was a fair price. It's one of my favorite Hoovers!

I dont think any of the (NEW) Cleaners on the market that I know of now could take half the beating the maids gave the 913, They droppped them off the carts, down the stairs, drug them by the cords , Rammed them into the walls , Vacuumed door mats with them .And then bitched "they are so heavy" The both of them withstood 16 years of total abuse. Do you think any of the new ones could do that?
