I have a new nozzle hose for a DAM, could not find the nozzle end part. It seems to be glued on to the original hose. Is there a solvent I can use that will not damage the nozzle part? Does the metal collar come out through the mouth of the nozzle? Am I completely insane for wanting to rebuild this old DAM? Photos coming soon of this project. Thanks for any help in advance. Aaron,

I've never seen the collar glued to the hose before. The metal piece should just pop out and the collar should unscrew from the hose. The former owner may have glued the hose to the collar.

Soak the old hose in very hot water until the glue melts.
