Well, make sure the filters are clean and if it has an outlet filter clean that too.
Mine are the same, some don’t float as well as others, make sure that there is no gap between the base ring and the main body, if there is a gap I would fill with silicon sealer also that the flotation ring is flat, dents in it can reduce lift. Might cost a bit to ship one over to the uk, and I would probably want to keep it!! Lee
